I was raised on a farm in South Dakota. I remember a gentleman we called Uncle Eb visiting our farm in the 50's. I did not know this was E.W. Hyde until I discovered your site and the memories came back. I also recall meeting Thelma at the farm and talked to Loren when I worked in New York. Your site gave me a true history of the people that has make our country great. I will continue to follow your site.

My great-great-grandfather Hogan Anderson moved to Sims, ND in 1902. My great-grandfather Pete Thorson moved to North Dakota in 1905. I am glad to see pictures of the area. I would love to see more!

Please someone up date this I would really like that. I would really like to know what time the parade starts for Labor Day but of course it is not posted.

Hi, I live in Sweden and I'm looking for a relative who moved to Sims 1895/1896.
His name was Eric August Soderlund and was born in 1869 in northern Sweden.
I would be extremely grateful if someone can answer me and tell me about Sims background, the Church, the coal mining and the brickyard.
Sincerely//Lars Forsstedt
